Professional hair designer Rodney Howell has tailored his reputation as Metro Detroit’s favorite “Style Guy”! Owner of two chic beauty salons Hairshion and Silver Fox based in the Metropolitan Detroit area.
This impeccable trend-setter has also carved his creative talents into being a personal stylist, special events coordinator and an interior decorator.
For the last sixteen years Rodney’s humanitarian spirit prompts him to promote and sponsors acharity fashion event for HIV/AIDS, “Catwalk-fashion with a cause” that features local hair & fashion designers’ latest trends. In 2014, Rodney and his style team launch Catwalk during New York Spring Fashion week which was a major success, and now is an annual event during New York’s Fashion week. Proceeds from Rodney’s humanitarian events are donated to local community based HIV/AIDS organizations.
Rodney was awarded the 2013 Good life humanitarian award and 2017 Made Man of Detroit award for his efforts to spread HIV/AIDS awareness.
Metro–Detroit’s favorite “Style Guy” has been featured in magazines and newspapers for his phenomenal taste and fashionable clothing line The Rodney Howell collection: Rodney’s love for interior design land him a roll on HGTV’s Reality Show, “My House is worth what?”
He’s been featured on Preachers of Detroit, and House Wives of Atlanta reality TV show. To his Hair Designer credits he has styled the legendary Mrs. Dianne Carl, Mrs. Anita Baker, Omarosa Manigault Newman and Housewives of Atlanta Mrs. Kenya Moore to name a few.
